This is the largest salmon rearing place that I have come across in Canada. I was established in 1974 and played a significant to restore the natural spawning run that runs along the Quinsam and Campbell River during fall. I love the fish floor to be found inside the interpretive center of the hatchery. This has a glass floor recreating the nearby river that has trout, salmon, and many other species. The hatchery is open from 8 am to 4 pm every day.

A property capturing the natural beauty had been built by the popular conservationist Roderick Haig-Brown. I took a walk through the beautiful garden running along Campbell River. Here, you will find fly fishers making their way into the river to look for trout and salmon.
