No doubt, this legendary city attracts a lot of visitors every year. It is one of the best cities I visited in Italy, after Florence and Venice. There are transports connecting it to Florence. When I visited the city, I found many things to do and see. Here is a list of things that you can check out on your trip to Pisa.

Leaning Tower of Pisa

This is an attraction that I wasn’t going to miss out on. The bell tower of the city attracts a lot of tourists and has an evident tilt. It had been constructed in the 12th century. However, soon it was discovered that the foundation is not stable and it began leaning. Measures are taken every year to make sure that it will not collapse. Carry your camera and click some funny photos. I climbed to the top of the tower to an exceptional tilted view.

The Baptistery

You should definitely include this in your list. It had been built for replacing the original one. It is 54m in height. The amazingly designed exterior is going to take you by surprise. Also, you will notice that the roof of this attraction is incomplete. This is something that I had never seen before. It had never been finished.

Campo Santo

This is a Monumental Cemetery and is worth visiting. The interior courtyard is beautifully designed. The hallway is lit and has great frescos. The best part of the complex is the courtyard. There is a huge lawn with pretty flowers. It is a charming place to visit.

Museo Nazionale

This is the national museum of the city. The sculptures and the artifacts that it showcases are just splendid. If you are interested in the history of the city, you should definitely visit the museum. You will also find ancient manuscripts along with religious relics gathered from different Pisa’s churches.
